Sainsbury's pulls Fresh Kitchen

Sainsbury's tried a format to more directly compete with Pret, but it didn't work out. Implication is that they had the wrong size (too big or small?). And I wonder if they found that the staff costs were too high for them, given that they would have still wanted to keep prices low.

  • Whose role decides that?
  • Do you need this as a one off? Or if it needs to be a regular part of a role should it be sent to a Governance meeting to add to someone's regular accountabilities?
  • If that happened, would it deal with that tension for you well enough for now?

An innovation kit for Adobe employees.

Encourages prototyping first, then presenting to management. Based on finding that good ideas get blocked because they need management approval before prototype.

Includes $1,000 prepaid card to be spent on anything needed, without any paperwork.
